Write a program that uses parallel lists to determine the batting average for a

Write a program that uses parallel lists to determine the batting average for a baseball team by position. There are nine positions on a baseball team – numbered 1 through 9. Your program will read data in the pairs; the first number will be between 1 and 9 and will represent the batter’s position. The second number will be either 0 or 1 and will represent an out (0) or a hit (1). The program will continue to read the data pairs until the sentinel value of -1 is read. At that point, the program should output the batting average for each of the nine positions. (Note: Batting average = number of hits/number of at bats. Therefore, the number of hits and the number of at bats, for each position, needs to be stored in the parallel lists. The input file battingaverage.txt is provided.

Summary:
This article discusses a theoretical theory, The Treadmill of Production that was introduced my Sociologist, Allan Schnaiberg. The original theory focused on how the growth economy acts like a treadmill, staying in place, but causing disastrously environmental consequences. Dr. Cardenas uses the same theory to expand on the same principals, but on technology, which includes the informal economy. (Should be at least a half a page, double-spaced.)
Reflection:
I found it interesting how the author used her own personal experiences to interject with the theory. This form of research is reflective of Karl Marx′s work, which he believed that neutrality in research was impossible because biases are not avoidable. By Dr. Cardenas expressing her own background, interests, goals and biases, the reader can focus on the theory and how it is impacting our economy and environment. I myself also can see how I am personally affected by The Treadmill of Production. (Should be at least a half a page, double-spaced.)
More Information:
This Final Project should be a minimum of 5 pages and maximum 10 pages in length
Typed, double-spaced with 12 point font and one inch margins. Please note that the APA reference citation should be single-spaced. Acceptable fonts: New Times Roman, Calibri, and Arial.
Capitalization and punctuation should be standard English. For example, you should not capitalize all your references, summaries or reflections. This is a formal academic presentation of your work. Students who bold or capitalize every letter on the reference citation, summary or reflection will lose 10 points for every violation. You are allowed to bold your headers: Summary, Reflection and Cover Page.
All submissions must be PDF or RTF Document.

Instructions: Investigate an environmental issue/problem and create a presentation to report on how environmental geosciences (GIS, oceanography, soil science, biogeography, hydrology, etc.) are being applied to understand and address the issue/problem. The following suggestions are general. Actual topics should be more specific as to the location, type of pollution or problem, species of animal, health threat, etc. This should not be a broad investigation of a problem, but a more detailed analysis of a current or recent problem at a specific location. For example if you wanted to look at deforestation, investigate it at a particular location (think local- state or country level is too broad), rather than deforestation in general.
Potential topics include but are NOT limited to:
Water pollution
Air pollution
Erosion
Biodiversity
Deforestation
Soil contamination
Ecological restoration Conservation of habitat
Management of water supply
Management of solid waste
Format: Please create a 15 – 20 slide Power Point presentation. This should include graphics and approximately 2,000 – 2,500 words. This exercise will require research and you are to use at least 5 legitimate scholarly sources, cited in MLA format. Do not use retail sites or any site advertising their products or services. Try for official and credible sites and sources such as peer-reviewed academic journals, the UN, NASA, etc. There are some past project examples given, however the project has changed some since those were submitted and there are additional requirements that were not included in those examples.
The presentation should cover the minimum of the following sections:
-What and where is the environmental issue?
-Why is it important? Who/what is impacted and how?
-What policies are involved and at what level (local/state/federal)?
-Which environmental geosciences are being used to study and solve the issue? (Explain/illustrate the science and techniques)

This paper is a further analysis of the policy you chose for your first paper. This paper will address the allocations, provisions, service delivery, and financing and funding of your policy. You will also deepen your analysis of the cores values of the policy and evaluate well it advances racial and gender equity, human rights, social justice, and distributes resources (i.e., equality, equity, adequacy, efficiency). Begin with an introductory paragraph that introduces and summarizes your policy. It should be followed by a discussion of the following using these headings:
1.Policy Analysis
a. Allocations and Provisions Who benefits? Using data, provide a demographic profile of groups affected by this policy (e.g., who is eligible for benefits, who actually receives the benefits). What types of disparities exist? How are groups differentially affected by this policy based on racial/ethnic background, gender, class, and other differences? Provisions: Describe the benefits. What is the form of the benefit? Do these provisions consist of cash, vouchers, services, or “intangibles” such as power or opportunities? How is it distributed? What eligibility requirements are attached to these provisions?
b. Service Delivery: How is the policy implemented? How are the benefits delivered? What level of government or private institutions are involved? Consider the role that social workers or other specialized professionals may play in implementing the policy.
d. Financing and Funding: Briefly discuss the financing of this policy. How is the program financed? Is the funding adequate or do other issues exist regarding funding?
2. Evaluation
This section assesses the strengths, weaknesses and limitations of the policy using evidence from available research, evaluations, and policy reports and analyses.
a. Assess the strengths, weaknesses, and limitations of the policy, including the impact of the policy on vulnerable groups in society (e.g., people of color, people who are poor, women, old people, children, LGBTQ persons) using evidence from available research, evaluations, and policy analyses. Consider unintended consequences, gaps in services, barriers, or a lack of adequate funding?
b. Overall, how does this policy achieve its goals? How well does the policy meet its stated goals and the needs of the client system? How effectively does it advance social justice, human rights, racial and gender equity, equality, adequacy, and distribute resources?
3. Recommendations
a. Make one or two recommendations for policy changes and provide a rationale. Be sure that your recommendations are clearly connected to what you have identified earlier in your assessment as a limitation or in need of improvement. Recommendations may include alternative approaches that have been piloted in the US pr or when relevant, the policies or models of other nations.
The paper should include 10 or more references in current APA style. At least five of the references must be scholarly journal articles, book chapters or policy reports that have not been provided through this course-At least 5 references that are not required readings for the course. In addition, use appropriate Internet resources (e.g., government documents, research institutes). Many excellent resources are listed in this syllabus. Length-8-10 pages excluding the title page
